Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterised by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that can impact daily functioning and development. ADHD is recognized as a distinct neurological profile, where individuals may face challenges in sustaining attention, organising tasks, and regulating impulses. However, it is also associated with unique strengths, such as heightened creativity, problem-solving abilities, and intense focus on areas of interest.
At Paradigm Psychology Clinic, we approach ADHD from a clinical and neuroaffirmative perspective, providing tailored interventions that support both the management of symptoms and the enhancement of individual strengths. Our goal is to empower individuals with ADHD to navigate their challenges effectively while maximising their potential.
The first step involves meeting with a clinician to discuss the reason for referral and what you would like to get out of testing. Your clinician will also gather a comprehensive history and ensure the appropriate tests are selected.

Cognitive and attention testing for ADHD involves a series of assessments designed to evaluate an individual's ability to focus, sustain attention, and manage cognitive tasks. These tests help identify patterns of attention difficulties and executive functioning challenges that are common in ADHD.
Duration: 1.5 - 2.5 hours

Once testing is complete, it typically takes 3 weeks for your clinician to score and prepare your report. Your clinician will then meet with you to discuss the results and individually tailored recommendations.
